# AR Speed vs OverlayGPS

The clearest difference is update cadence: OverlayGPS at fortnightly against AR Speed's every 32 months. AR Speed's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AR Speed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OverlayGPS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Speed ships an update every 32 months, OverlayGPS fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
