# AR Speed vs Speed Overlay Camera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speed Overlay Camera at every 5 days against AR Speed's every 32 months. AR Speed's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AR Speed sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speed Overlay Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Speed ships an update every 32 months, Speed Overlay Camera every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
