# Pixie the Pony vs TinkSnap

The clearest difference is rating: TinkSnap at 5.0 against Pixie the Pony's 4.3. TinkSnap also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). Pixie the Pony's advantage is ratings volume (240 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pixie the Pony sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and TinkSnap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TinkSnap holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixie the Pony has 240 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pixie the Pony ships an update every 3 months, TinkSnap every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
