# EcoScan vs BePresent

The clearest difference is rating: BePresent at 4.8 against EcoScan's 3.0. BePresent also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (71K vs 2). EcoScan's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EcoScan sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and BePresent sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BePresent holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BePresent has 71K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of EcoScan's written reviews are positive against 69% of BePresent's.

EcoScan ships an update every 2 months, BePresent every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
