# WBC Counter vs Plumb's | Standards

The clearest difference is monetization model: WBC Counter at ad-supported against Plumb's | Standards's subscription. WBC Counter also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (69% vs 56%). Plumb's | Standards's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Plumb's | Standards holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plumb's | Standards has 3.4K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of WBC Counter's written reviews are positive against 56% of Plumb's | Standards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WBC Counter ships an update every 4 days, Plumb's | Standards every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
