# Scofield Reference Bible vs Defaeyat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Defaeyat at 100% against Scofield Reference Bible's 13%. Defaeyat also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). Scofield Reference Bible's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (535 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scofield Reference Bible holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scofield Reference Bible has 535 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Scofield Reference Bible's written reviews are positive against 100% of Defaeyat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Scofield Reference Bible ships an update every 2 months, Defaeyat daily. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
