# Picks（ピックス） vs Ramen Map

The clearest difference is rating: Picks（ピックス） at 5.0 against Ramen Map's 2.7. Picks（ピックス） also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Ramen Map's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Picks（ピックス） holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ramen Map has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Picks（ピックス）'s written reviews are positive against 63% of Ramen Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Picks（ピックス） ships an update monthly, Ramen Map every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
