# Electric Skateboard vs Torp Controller

The clearest difference is rating: Torp Controller at 4.3 against Electric Skateboard's 2.5. Torp Controller also leads on ratings volume (22 vs 2). Electric Skateboard's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 59%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Torp Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Torp Controller has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Electric Skateboard's written reviews are positive against 59% of Torp Controller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Electric Skateboard ships an update every 3 weeks, Torp Controller every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
