# WIR Connect vs SW.app

The clearest difference is update cadence: SW.app at every 6 weeks against WIR Connect's every 9 months. WIR Connect's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WIR Connect ships an update every 9 months, SW.app every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
