# Video Manager vs File Manager master

Video Manager and File Manager master both sit at 4.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 57% of Video Manager's written reviews are positive against 0% of File Manager master's. Video Manager also leads on ratings volume (903 vs 168). File Manager master's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Video Manager sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and File Manager master sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

File Manager master holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Manager has 903 ratings behind it against 168, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Video Manager's written reviews are positive against 0% of File Manager master's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Video Manager ships an update monthly, File Manager master every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
