# Step Counter vs Sun Ring

The clearest difference is rating: Sun Ring at 5.0 against Step Counter's 4.4. Sun Ring also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Step Counter's advantage is ratings volume (32 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sun Ring holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Step Counter has 32 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
