# Empty vs Fastpal

The clearest difference is rating: Fastpal at 5.0 against Empty's 4.5. Fastpal also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). Empty's advantage is ratings volume (95 vs 11). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Empty sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fastpal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fastpal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Empty has 95 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Empty's written reviews are positive against 100% of Fastpal's.

Empty ships an update every 6 months, Fastpal weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
