# Beer Tracks vs HamFinder

The clearest difference is rating: HamFinder at 5.0 against Beer Tracks's 4.7. Beer Tracks's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HamFinder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beer Tracks has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Beer Tracks ships an update every 16 months, HamFinder every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
