# xpression avatar vs Scopio

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scopio at 69% against xpression avatar's 27%. Scopio also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). xpression avatar's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (17K vs 18). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. xpression avatar sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Scopio asks for nothing beyond the download.

xpression avatar holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: xpression avatar has 17K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of xpression avatar's written reviews are positive against 69% of Scopio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

xpression avatar ships an update every 2 months, Scopio every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
