# xpression avatar vs MobiPx

The clearest difference is rating: MobiPx at 5.0 against xpression avatar's 4.5. MobiPx also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). xpression avatar's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. xpression avatar sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and MobiPx sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MobiPx holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: xpression avatar has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

xpression avatar ships an update every 2 months, MobiPx every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
