# Screen Mirroring vs Projector Stream

The clearest difference is rating: Screen Mirroring at 4.2 against Projector Stream's 3.6. Screen Mirroring also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 71). Projector Stream's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Mirroring sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Projector Stream sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Mirroring holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Mirroring has 1.5K ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Screen Mirroring's written reviews are positive against 53% of Projector Stream's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Mirroring ships an update every 2 months, Projector Stream fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
