# Trace Teams vs Wellington Wave

The clearest difference is rating: Trace Teams at 4.8 against Wellington Wave's 4.0. Trace Teams also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 22). Wellington Wave's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 24%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trace Teams holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trace Teams has 4.4K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Trace Teams's written reviews are positive against 50% of Wellington Wave's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
