# Trace Teams vs Boot.AI

The clearest difference is rating: Trace Teams at 4.8 against Boot.AI's 4.2. Trace Teams also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (4.5K vs 5). Boot.AI's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 24%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boot.AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Trace Teams asks for nothing beyond the download.

Trace Teams holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trace Teams has 4.5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Trace Teams's written reviews are positive against 50% of Boot.AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trace Teams ships an update weekly, Boot.AI every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
