# Dan's Supermarket vs Scheels

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dan's Supermarket at 100% against Scheels's 58%. Dan's Supermarket also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). Scheels's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scheels holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scheels has 14K ratings behind it against 531, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Dan's Supermarket's written reviews are positive against 58% of Scheels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dan's Supermarket ships an update every 2 months, Scheels every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
