# Summit Racing vs Own Boss

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Summit Racing at 71K against Own Boss's 5.8K. Own Boss's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Summit Racing against 4.9 for Own Boss. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summit Racing has 71K ratings behind it against 5.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Summit Racing's written reviews are positive against 83% of Own Boss's.

Summit Racing ships an update every 2 months, Own Boss every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
