# Lyrist vs Demodeck

The clearest difference is update cadence: Demodeck at every 4 days against Lyrist's every 2 months. Lyrist's advantage is ratings volume (89 vs 15) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 16.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lyrist sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Demodeck sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Lyrist against 4.6 for Demodeck. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lyrist has 89 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Lyrist's written reviews are positive against 75% of Demodeck's.

Lyrist ships an update every 2 months, Demodeck every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
