# Motaku vs Duplics

The clearest difference is rating: Duplics at 5.0 against Motaku's 4.1. Duplics also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 months). Motaku's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Motaku sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Duplics sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Duplics holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Motaku has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Motaku's written reviews are positive against 83% of Duplics's.

Motaku ships an update every 3 months, Duplics every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
