# STV Play vs GetOut

The clearest difference is ads: STV Play at none against GetOut's shown. GetOut's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. STV Play sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and GetOut sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

STV Play ships an update every 6 months, GetOut every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
