# HERO System Mobile vs Fictional

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HERO System Mobile at none against Fictional's 2. HERO System Mobile also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 50%). Fictional's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (194 vs 10). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fictional sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. HERO System Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fictional holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fictional has 194 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of HERO System Mobile's written reviews are positive against 50% of Fictional's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
