# Camera for OBS Studio vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Camera for OBS Studio at 40% against Teleprompter's 12%. Teleprompter's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and chart position (#143 vs unranked). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Camera for OBS Studio sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Teleprompter sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.3K and 3K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Camera for OBS Studio's written reviews are positive against 12% of Teleprompter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camera for OBS Studio ships an update every 2 weeks, Teleprompter fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
