# PlayerKit vs AGC

The clearest difference is rating: PlayerKit at 5.0 against AGC's 4.1. PlayerKit also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16). AGC's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AGC sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. PlayerKit asks for nothing beyond the download.

PlayerKit holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AGC has 57 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of PlayerKit's written reviews are positive against 89% of AGC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PlayerKit ships an update every 3 weeks, AGC every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
