# SWIM.DE vs Beobachter

The clearest difference is ads: SWIM.DE at none against Beobachter's shown. SWIM.DE also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). Beobachter's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 22 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SWIM.DE sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Beobachter sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SWIM.DE ships an update every 22 months, Beobachter every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
