# PTE Alpaca vs 新东方雅思Pro

The clearest difference is ads: 新东方雅思Pro at none against PTE Alpaca's shown. 新东方雅思Pro also leads on review sentiment (94% vs 73%). PTE Alpaca's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PTE Alpaca sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and 新东方雅思Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PTE Alpaca holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 61 and 91 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of PTE Alpaca's written reviews are positive against 94% of 新东方雅思Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
