Tayasui Sketches School and Pattern Blocks+ by mathies both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pattern Blocks+ by mathies's written reviews are positive against 63% of Tayasui Sketches School's. Pattern Blocks+ by mathies also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). Tayasui Sketches School's advantage is ratings volume (9.1K vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Tayasui Sketches School holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tayasui Sketches School has 9.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Tayasui Sketches School's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pattern Blocks+ by mathies's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
