# Flyrouter vs VPN Ninja

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flyrouter at none against VPN Ninja's 6. Flyrouter also leads on ratings volume (187 vs 29). VPN Ninja's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Ninja sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per 7 days. Flyrouter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flyrouter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flyrouter has 187 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Flyrouter's written reviews are positive against 83% of VPN Ninja's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flyrouter ships an update every 5 weeks, VPN Ninja every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
