# 狐友 vs 火花Chat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 狐友 at none against 火花Chat's 17. 火花Chat's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 火花Chat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. 狐友 asks for nothing beyond the download.

狐友 holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 43 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of 狐友's written reviews are positive against 75% of 火花Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

狐友 ships an update every 4 weeks, 火花Chat weekly. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
