# Keepyear vs The Y Principle

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Y Principle at every 3 weeks against Keepyear's every 6 weeks. The Y Principle also leads on iOS requirement (14 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keepyear sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year and The Y Principle sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Keepyear ships an update every 6 weeks, The Y Principle every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
