# SpeedUp Player Pro + vs CustomSearch 2

The clearest difference is rating: SpeedUp Player Pro + at 4.6 against CustomSearch 2's 2.5. SpeedUp Player Pro + also leads on ratings volume (184 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). CustomSearch 2's advantage is review sentiment (77% vs 65%) and price ($1.99 vs $2.99). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

SpeedUp Player Pro + costs $2.99 and CustomSearch 2 $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SpeedUp Player Pro + holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpeedUp Player Pro + has 184 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of SpeedUp Player Pro +'s written reviews are positive against 77% of CustomSearch 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SpeedUp Player Pro + ships an update every 3 months, CustomSearch 2 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
