# Perks vs MTN App ZA

The clearest difference is rating: Perks at 3.0 against MTN App ZA's 2.5. MTN App ZA's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Perks holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTN App ZA has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Perks's written reviews are positive against 18% of MTN App ZA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Perks ships an update every 2 months, MTN App ZA every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
