Thank you for trying BiAffect. In this ResearchKit study, we would like to understand the relationship between mood and neurocognitive functioning in bipolar disorder using keystroke dynamics (such as typing speed and typing errors) and other passive sensor information (such as the accelerometer). You don't have to be a person with bipolar disorder to help us test this app—we also need healthy participants to use the app and serve as a control group. Currently, diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disorder rely on careful history taking and examination by a clinician, at times aided by self-report or caretaker-informed questionnaires. In general, these reports have to be interpreted by providers in order to extract patterns that could indicate an imminent change in mood. Moreover, they do not necessarily represent objective psycho-physiological markers. On the other hand, the pervasive use of mobile wireless devices has significantly shaped interpersonal communications in modern life. Indeed, as personal smartphone technology advances, people are increasingly interacting with one another via typed (rather than oral) communications. For this reason, we want to investigate if keyboard dynamics and sensor data from iPhone serve as more objective biomarkers or 'virtual mental-health footprints' of bipolar disorder and mood in general.

**Mood and energy, tracked together** Most mood trackers only ask whether you feel good or bad. Even Mind also asks how much energy you have, because changes in energy and sleep are often the first signs of a shift. One tap on a simple grid captures highs, lows, and mixed states like "bad mood, high energy" that a single scale misses. Made for Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and cyclothymia, and helpful for anyone who wants to understand their ups and downs. **Bring real data to your appointments** - Create a free Doctor Report: a clear PDF of your mood, energy, stability, and sleep over the last 30 days to 6 months - Share it with your psychiatrist or therapist in seconds, so you can show them what happened instead of trying to remember **Spot shifts early** - A stability score shows how much your mood swings between days and within a day - Log as often as you need, even several times a day - See mindfulness, workouts, and steps from Apple Health next to how you feel (Even Mind Plus) - Get insights on your patterns, like how sleep affects your energy **Simple on hard days** Logging takes seconds, with no long forms or symptom checklists. Add notes, people, and places only when you want to. **Private by design** No ads. No account. We never sell your data. Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud. Insights (Even Mind Plus) is an optional feature and off until you turn it on. When you use it, your entries are sent securely to OpenAI to create your insights and are not used to train AI models. **Even Mind Plus** Even Mind is free to use, including Doctor Reports. Even Mind Plus unlocks AI Insights, custom themes and advanced charts. Even Mind is a tracking tool. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and is not a substitute for professional care.
