# DC vs Abandoned World

The clearest difference is rating: DC at 3.8 against Abandoned World's 3.1. DC also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Abandoned World's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (210 vs 29). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Abandoned World sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. DC asks for nothing beyond the download.

DC holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Abandoned World has 210 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of DC's written reviews are positive against 56% of Abandoned World's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DC ships an update every 3 weeks, Abandoned World weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
