# e vs ShiftCal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: e at none against ShiftCal's 3. e also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). ShiftCal's advantage is ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShiftCal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. e asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for e against 5.0 for ShiftCal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ShiftCal has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

e ships an update monthly, ShiftCal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
