# NMC CBT vs OET Sample Tests

The clearest difference is rating: NMC CBT at 4.6 against OET Sample Tests's 4.3. NMC CBT also leads on ratings volume (112 vs 12) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 15.0.0). OET Sample Tests's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 25%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NMC CBT sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and OET Sample Tests sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NMC CBT holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NMC CBT has 112 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of NMC CBT's written reviews are positive against 40% of OET Sample Tests's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
