# All Sheet Music vs Notation

The clearest difference is rating: Notation at 5.0 against All Sheet Music's 4.2. Notation also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 64%). All Sheet Music's advantage is ratings volume (136 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. All Sheet Music sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notation holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: All Sheet Music has 136 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of All Sheet Music's written reviews are positive against 100% of Notation's.

All Sheet Music ships an update fortnightly, Notation every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
