# PlayMath vs Smart Tales

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PlayMath at none against Smart Tales's 10. PlayMath also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). Smart Tales's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 4) and chart position (#177 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Tales sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. PlayMath asks for nothing beyond the download.

PlayMath holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart Tales has 18K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
