# Export Contacts vs Export My Contacts Backup

The clearest difference is ads: Export Contacts at none against Export My Contacts Backup's shown. Export Contacts also leads on review sentiment (70% vs 57%). Export My Contacts Backup's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Export Contacts sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Export My Contacts Backup sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Export My Contacts Backup holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 89 and 90 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Export Contacts's written reviews are positive against 57% of Export My Contacts Backup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Export Contacts ships an update every 2 months, Export My Contacts Backup every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
