# Hearts vs Maker Deck

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Maker Deck at none against Hearts's 5. Maker Deck also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). Hearts's advantage is ratings volume (244K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hearts sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Maker Deck asks for nothing beyond the download.

Maker Deck holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearts has 244K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hearts ships an update monthly, Maker Deck every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
