# Steimatzky vs PEN Q

The clearest difference is update cadence: PEN Q at every 3 weeks against Steimatzky's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steimatzky sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and PEN Q sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steimatzky ships an update every 2 months, PEN Q every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
