# DBLock vs Scrol

The clearest difference is rating: DBLock at 5.0 against Scrol's 3.6. DBLock also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Scrol's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 27 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DBLock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Scrol asks for nothing beyond the download.

DBLock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scrol has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DBLock ships an update every 27 months, Scrol every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
