# DBLock vs MindMap

The clearest difference is ads: DBLock at none against MindMap's shown. MindMap's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 27 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DBLock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MindMap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DBLock ships an update every 27 months, MindMap every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
