# Lightsaber Simulator vs The Force Guide

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Force Guide at none against Lightsaber Simulator's 5. The Force Guide also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Lightsaber Simulator's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightsaber Simulator sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. The Force Guide asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Force Guide holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lightsaber Simulator has 2.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lightsaber Simulator ships an update every 4 weeks, The Force Guide every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
