# CatchUp vs CloserFamily

The clearest difference is update cadence: CloserFamily at every 5 days against CatchUp's every 2 months. CloserFamily also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CatchUp sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and CloserFamily sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CatchUp ships an update every 2 months, CloserFamily every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
