# Dronometer vs Drone Pad

The clearest difference is rating: Drone Pad at 4.5 against Dronometer's 3.3. Drone Pad also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (177 vs 11). Dronometer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 19) and review sentiment (50% vs 36%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Pad sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Dronometer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Pad has 177 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Dronometer's written reviews are positive against 36% of Drone Pad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dronometer ships an update every 5 months, Drone Pad every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
