# Dronometer vs Fifths

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dronometer at 50% against Fifths's 0%. Dronometer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). Fifths's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.3) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fifths sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Dronometer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fifths holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dronometer has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Dronometer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Fifths's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dronometer ships an update every 5 months, Fifths every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
