# Time Capsule vs Petami

The clearest difference is ads: Petami at none against Time Capsule's shown. Petami also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Time Capsule's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Capsule sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Petami sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Capsule holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Capsule has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Capsule ships an update every 6 weeks, Petami weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
